Lakeport Plantation

Plantation is built by slaves in 1859 on the Mississippi River, 10 miles south of Lake Village, AR on the Mississippi River. Restoration research by a complete team began 1999 leading to construction from 2003 through 2007. Claudia Shannon was the restoration director and interior designer for the project and Witsell Evans Rasco were the architects.
